Tuesday 22nd January 2019 May class will be visiting Temper Temper Chocolate Factory in Tunbridge Wells

As part of our Mayan civilisation topic, we are looking at the history of chocolate. In order to make this cross curricular, in English we will be studying the text ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’.  On Tuesday 22nd January 2019 May class will be visiting Temper Temper chocolate factory in Tunbridge Wells. During the trip the children will make various chocolate goodies, learn the process of making chocolate, the history of chocolate, learn about fair-trade and take part in chocolate tasting.

In order for this trip to go ahead, we ask for a payment of £20.00 per child. This is for the transport by coach, the entrance to Temper Temper Chocolate Factory and for the Chocolate Workshop. We will be leaving at 9.15am and returning during the school day and when the children return from their trip they will go back to their classroom (no children will be released from the coach) and leave school as normal at 3.15pm. You should give permission/pay for this trip and indicate that you are able to help via Agora by Tuesday 20th November, unless there are sufficient parental contributions received this visit will be cancelled.
