Planning Arrangements in the Event of School Closure Due to Adverse Weather Conditions/Emergencies
I write to advise you of the emergency planning procedures for school closures as a result of adverse weather conditions/emergencies.
In the event of severe weather it may be necessary to close the school or individual classes. Information regarding closure will be published via the Bexley Schools Opencheck website: http://map.lgfl.org.uk/opencheck
Parents/Guardians without internet access can phone 020 8408 7508 and enter the school’s DFE number 303 2056 to get the same information, or they can phone the London Borough of Bexley Contact Centre on 020 8303 7777.
Please note the Opencheck website and contact telephone number will only be updated and used for unexpected/unplanned closures.
We will also use our normal method of contacting parents/guardians via ‘ParentMail’ to keep you up to date with closures. This will either be by mobile phone text message or email to the email address you have provided. The information will also be displayed on the school’s website www.dulverton.bexley.sch.uk and on the notice board outside the school.
Any children attending school should be accompanied by an adult who can make alternative arrangements for them in the event of school or class closure.
Could we also ask you to remind your child/ren to take extra care with road safety in the winter months.
